Her identity was made public as a part of her debut due to her connection to her Grandfather, who also had a public identity due to an incident with a villain. Her public unveiling noted that she has the power to turn into any sea creature and swim through the air, much like her Grandfather's power was to summon flying sea creatures.
+And.. things got somewhat better after triggering. It helped somewhat that her identity was public, being the known Granddaughter of Captain Poseidon and with abilities with similar theming (Captain Poseidon has the ability to summon floating sea-life minions), she ended up revealing her identity.
