Character Sheet
Appearance
John is a Caucasian male with short brown hair and brown eyes, making him physically very generic. He tends to wear cheap and or messed up and torn clothing. Mostly muscle shirts, jeans and a ratty looking hoodie.
While as Powerline he wears gleaming golden colored armor with a Nordic design. He glows in the dark with the blue neon accents. His helmet fully covers the face except for a large slit where the eyes are.
Equipment and Resources
- Cheap Burner Phone
- Pocket Tool Kit

Appearance | "This is so beautiful. The golden sheen and the blue neon esc accents for aesthetics makes it look MUCH More heroic! A Major upgrade from my previous chest piece. Looks a bit gaudy though. And definitely not stealthy by the way it gleams in the sunlight... But it looks like gold and is very well made... And is much lighter than it really should be."
TLDR: Golden plate armor with glowing blue neon esc. Accents to give it a glow, Also to fit the name Powerline. |
---|
Abilities | "Thanks to 'Ammonites' Donation of a Schematic for a power source and my Alloy refiner I have been able to GREATLY Increase the potency of both the power storage and durability of my armor. Using the best plates I have been able to create I have made some actually good armor that 'Should' Do decently against small arms fire. I have also greatly increased the power storage, Thank you Ammonite, And have aligned the charge storage along the spine for both protection and ease of carry."
TLDR: Greatly increased Armor durability and power storage with the help of Ammonites 'Power Pack' Schematic, Should do well against small arms fire and melee attacks. |
---|
- "I do not actually need to maintain this that much. More than the old one for sure. But not as much as what would be expected. Makes sense though, Seeing as it is effectively a battery, Advanced for sure but a battery, strapped to a metal chest plate."
TLDR: Low maintenance, though higher than the last one.
-"Alongside the Chest piece I have made a set of arm and leg guards as well as a simple helmet... I tried to avoid the roman design and instead went Nordic with the swirl patterns carved into the metal, Looks... Odd. But within Acceptable cosmetics."
TLDR: Looks like a golden chest plate with glowing blue lines along the suit accented with swirl patterns. Also some Decent, but not Tinkertech, metal accented gauntlets, boots, and helmet have been made alongside it, Also golden.
-Think Gold Nordic Armor without the fur and a more normal Helmet, As well as blue neon like accent. (Skyrim <-)
The original chest piece would have been scrapped to have all the parts for this one. As well as for recycling purposes. |

Appearance | Looks like a crappy handmade pistol with wires coming out of its handle. When in operation though it splits open and creates a spark of energy between the front points akin to a Taser. In fact it can be used as such for both short and long ranged use. Firing a electric Spark from the tip. |
---|
Abilities | Is the main Weapon of Powerline at the moment. Firing a semisolid Electric Marble at the opponent. |
---|
"Actually a spark... Heh... Of Brilliance when I was working on a electric welder to finish my chest piece. Both a tool AND a weapon all in one piece!"
-Requires more maintenance than the chest piece due to low quality material and active current flow.
-Note 2: "Another Mk. I. This handy little creation of mine charges off the main power source rather well and fires acceptably... Wish it looked nicer and knew how it fires semi solid electricity somehow. Works Admirably as a Electrical welder." |

---|
Appearance | Strapped onto the chest piece it looks like a couple of antennae coming from his shoulders when active and retract a little when turned off. |
---|
Abilities | It is mainly used to deal with recording devices as it distorts if not outright messes with electronics in use if active. Can at most cause headaches in people due to the electromagnetic pulses it gives off. |
---|
"I don't like it, but sometimes electronics can be as much of a pain against me as it is a boon. This... Device sends a wave of Electrical interference into a area around me which should help against recording devices. Doubt it would work on something properly protected though."
-Requires Little maintenance except for when actively used where the current messes with the shoddy metals in its make.
Note 2: "Get some better materials made. These things are supposed to be only used until I get the cash for better materials but this is ridiculous." |

Appearance | "This 'Device' Looks like an odd Brick forge with a metal box attached to it. It was hastily thrown together when I got the idea for it... It does not look good. But for a Mark One? It will do." |
---|
Abilities | "The Alloy Refiner does what it says on the tin. Takes multiple different melted metals and alloys them. The most technological part of it is the part which controls the metal ratio of the melted material. Although oddly enough? The metals coming out seem to look different than the metals going in. At first I noticed that it lost material and thought I was missing something. But it turns out there was rust and other junk material that just burned out leaving it with less mass."
"Another oddity is that it seems to not accept making materials that are Not alloyed as I tried to make a plate of just steel and it seemed to stress the mixer of the machine while a Copper Aluminum blend, Aluminum Bronze, Worked just fine... Also metals coming out are lighter than they should be. As samples of a similar metal I have collected, for comparison, Seem to he heavier... As well as less durable than MY Blend. Give me a minute to run the numbers."
"Okay, Ran the numbers and it shows a 50-60% Increase to durability with a 20-40% Decrease in weight. Varying due to purity and what metals I blend. Best seems to be the Aluminum Bronze Alloy making it look like tarnished gold... Is my tech trying to make me imitate Phalanxes look? At least color wise? "
(TLDR - Melts down Metals, removing rust and impurities. Metals seem to be lighter and more durable than what they should be.) |
---|
N1 - "The device needs to be cleaned out after it is used. Thankfully only after I am done making plates or Blending a new alloy. It requires little maintenance on the tech end as it merely tracks the alloy Ratio in a general percentile."
N2 - "It can only make so much at one time. Being a small setup I can make maybe Two to Three plates about as big as a Dinner plate in size before it has to be refilled and allowed to make a new batch, Which means I have to go through the process of letting it cool, Cleaning it out and reintroducing the metals for blending."
(TLDR - Makes plates of metal the size of Dinner plates. Can only make a couple before it needs to be cleaned out.)
N3 - "While this will do for now I will need to inevitably Make it better. Maybe melting down metals and storing them in strips or marble like shape after the impurities are melted out... Maybe cubes for better stacking. I might just keep one and carve a little heart into it for fun as a Little Knick Knack. 'Companion cube will always be missed.'"
(TLDR: Just some Flavor for Later upgrades and A 'Portal' Reference.) |
Destroyed Tinker Tech

Creator | | |
---|
Appearance | This device looks like a strapped on chest and back piece of crudely bent metal plates with what looks like car batteries fused to the back. |
---|
Abilities | Acts as basic Chest and back armor as well as power Energy Storage. |
---|
"This device is the first rendition of the device. It takes in the energy my body produces and stores it in the electrical batteries attached at the back to be used by other pieces of tech."
-Should work for a long time as long as maintenance is kept though its energy Storage is pretty awful.
-Note 2: "This device is a Mk. I. But mostly all I need to do is improve the battery and make the armor less crap. Maybe eventually cover my full torso with it and make a full suit given enough time? That's the hope."
-NOTICE! - This Tech has been scrapped and recycled for newer tech made. |
Skills and Specializations
-Basic Metalworking and electronics skill gained from hard work making his first couple of tech pieces as well as some study in the library.
-Some basic street smarts from living on the streets for nearly a year.
Mentality
John is not in a good place mentally. He does not think he is worth the effort for others and, upon gaining powers, thinks about joining the protectorate. But thinks that they would not take him anyway due to how useless he is. As such he needs ALL The self help.
Beyond that he is quite willing to help others. Usually with helping with fixing stuff for the homeless that he tends to hang around with at first and those more low income.
Power
Trigger Type: Single Standard Tinker Trigger (Magi X Focal)
Specializing in the construction of exo-suits that assist in mobility and provides minor physical improvements. It's main purpose, however is to provide a frame to run a wide variety of secondary modules and gadgets, mostly focused on mobility and utility.
Some gadgets that they could make and mount on the frame include grappling hooks, gliders, in-built climbing equipment, long-fall boots, smoke bombs or flares, uv goggles, thermal shielding equipment, noise dampeners, projectile launchers, Tasers, smoke bombs, stationary camo, and various other small devices.
Sub-specialty in durable but lightweight materials (Alloys, ceramics, fabrics)
Possessing a low brute/striker rating, Every cell in their body generates tiny static charge, which when combined is enough constant electrical energy, that it can be harnessed to help power their worn tinker-tech.
The stress this causes the body is offset by small positive physiological changes slightly denser bones, tougher muscle fiber, protective layers of fat on their organs, a far better than average immune system, and a somewhat increased ability to clot bleeding wounds.
Backstory
John Warnes had an average life up until he graduated high school where he had trouble finding work. After his fathers passing there was only him, His mother, And a little brother left so he kept looking.
It was not until he glanced in and found his mother looking over bills that he found what little bravery in his life to sell the stuff he had on the sly and leave a letter filled with the money next to his mothers bed and walk out that front door with nothing but the bag on his back with a couple of dollars and some bottles of water and rations.
After leaving the city he walked as far as he could from his home city. Ending up in Devilfish... How in the heck did he get to Minnesota?!
Oh well.
He set himself up in a homeless shelter, Though mostly he stuck to the streets as he was not worth wasting a space in the shelter that someone else could take up who needed it more.
It was not long until one morning where a homeless man woke him up screaming about his spot and knifed at him.
After running he found himself injured and ended up triggering.
After triggering he found himself collecting scraps and the like with help from the local homeless in return for helping them in kind here and there. Mostly helping with makeshift shelters and finding food and sorts. Using what little scrap he could find to make makeshift gear.
After he had gotten some things build he Readied himself to making himself feel less useless. One mugging at a time
