Flamewar is a powerful Master/Blaster, and the leader of the Burnouts, a newly-founded Ashton gang. She has a reputation for organizing hobo cockfighting rings, and no problem with killing---at least one cape has been killed in her fights, as well as over a dozen police and PRT when her and Shebet broke out Copper Spider. Due to this, Wards are not authorized to fight her, and all members of the public are advised to avoid this dangerous individual.
Character Sheet
Appearance
Violet Geary is a woman in her mid-twenties, with red-dyed sidecut hair and sharp blue eyes. Her body bears many a scar from her rough upbringing, and she typically dresses quite casually.
As Flamewar, she is a raging, barely-contained inferno with a vaguely-human-shaped silhouette within. No mask. If she has to meet someone out of her breaker state, she wears civvies.
Equipment and Resources
As a cape, she carries:
- Burner (ayyy) phone
- Crowbar
- Occasionally a fire axe
Skills and Specializations
- “Negotiation”
- “Sales”
- “Marketing”
- “Human Resources”

Mentality
Power
Trigger type: Natural, single-trigger
When Flamewar activates her power, she explodes into a towering inferno surrounding her person, leaving only a shadowey silhouette at the center of the fire. In this state, she generates an infinite amount of fire around herself[power 1], and can also throw firebolts at enemies.
While this may seem like a fairly-simple basic bitch pyrokinetic, the key difference lies in the powers of her flame. If someone is burnt by her flame[power 2], they enter a bloodrage state.
In this state, the victim will attack anyone near them, friendly or otherwise[power 3]. They do not think about unwritten rules or facts or logic or anything besides carnage. It takes a random amount of time for them to "snap out" of the effect[power 4]. They will have no recollection of what they did, skipping straight from being burnt to the aftermath.
As expected, Flamewar is immune to all effects of her fire and secondaries caused by it. When her power is active, she is immune to all fire, and cannot be damaged by heat, flame, or lack of oxygen, as these are provided by her shard.
- ↑ Starts out 5ft radius by 8ft tall abouts, up to 20 feet around and a bit higher. 1700°C ± 300° depending on how her shard's feeling.
- ↑ The flame does not have to do damage, so f.ex. if it hit Persephone's wings, she'd still be affected. However, a costume can provide some protection (until it's burnt away). Only Flamewar's direct flame causes this effect, a secondary fire would not.
- ↑ use ~choose, bias towards people nearby unless it's about the same distance for all. If someone attacks the victim, they'll probably retaliate. Self-preservation is a thing, but it's secondary to the bloodrage.
- ↑ 1d20, DC20 decreases by one every round. Or do it narratively, I'm not the fun police.
Backstory
Violet's story began as a child, forced to make her own way due to abusive parents. She fell in with the wrong crowd, joined a gang, and quickly rose in rank. By the time she was in her mid-twenties, she'd been put in charge of a regional distribution ring, breaking kneecaps and making boatloads of cash. Enough that, at 25, she was told one of the higher-ups was going to visit, and if it went well... she'd be working under the man himself. Serious shit.
Of course, it all had to fall apart when this guy was visiting. Enforcers brought in a guy who'd been skimming profits, and Violet had to make an example of him, of course. The hood comes off... it's a childhood friend. Fuck. She starts smoking a sherm stick (blunt dipped in PCP) as she realizes that she's so fucked right now, she doesn't want to hurt her friend but can't back down. Trying to get high, high enough where she can do this, and deal with the consequences later.
And then they had to go and recognize her, and start begging, pleading. Everyone looking at her now, and she just... she had to do this, but she couldn't, and the rage wasn't coming, and she was---trigger.
