Rockstar hails from Los Angeles, California. She's been in the spotlight since her debut as a Ward, always on the front page of some magazine, TV show, or sketchy tabloid site. She has no cape persona, and her public information is full game. Her debut was loud and flashy- an experiment gone wrong due to a tinkertech malfunction. No one was hurt, but the abandoned warehouse she was using as a workshed was shaken down to its foundations and later collapsed. After she joined up with the PRT, she made it her duty to always be in the starlight in some way, shape, or form. Her recent transfer to Devilfish has been under some amount of scrutiny- but the official talking point is to, "Bring life into an otherwise unnoticed Protectorate branch." She sticks by this, regardless of whatever nasty rumors the tabloids drum up.

As Rockstar (which is an incredibly cliche name to release music under) she’s released two full-length albums, a 4 song EP, and a slew of singles and tracks she’s been featured on. Her first album, ''Damage Control'', is a pop-rock look into being a cape and totally PRT pushed. Her second album, ''NewGame+'', is less PRT focused and is a multi-genre rock opera style album that deals with the themes of identity, isolation, being comfortable as yourself- and also has a quirky interlude about really enjoying some salsa late at night. Her first album wasn’t very well received, with many people seeing it as a PRT cash-grab. (True depending on who you asked.) Her second was more successful, with one of the singles from the album hitting the #8 slot in the Billboard Hot 100.

Emmaline is exactly what you'd think of when you imagine a teen (semi) Popstar. She's loud, gaudy, and always doing something that ends her up in the public eye. Standing at 5'4", she makes up for her small stature with how loud she is. Pink hair constantly done up in a flashy little 'do, with her outfits even flashier. When she'd not trying to draw attention to herself, she usually wears a hat and bulky clothing to obfuscate her identity as much as possible. She's exactly what you'd expect from someone who's physical appearance is often the end-all be-all of her popularity.

Emmaline is lonely. Incredibly lonely. Sure, she has all the fame and adoration she could ever want- but at the end of the day it's worthless. She's paranoid that people only want her for her fame, for her looks, for her power, and never the stuff inside that makes her who she really is. She's afraid that she's boring and dull, so she often acts out in the public eye just to make herself interesting. All publicity is good publicity, after all. Her shard has only increased the thoughts and ideas that she has, ramping up her paranoia of interpersonal relationships past the point that it was before she'd triggered. She's still a stable individual, but there's always a part of her that yearns for something more. To be truly noticed.

Trigger Type: Natural Single.

Rockstar is a sound-focused tinker with a slight subdiscipline in Master effects. Through the tech she creates, she's able to both manipulate how sound operates, and also manipulate the emotions of those that hear them. She would be classified as a Multithreaded Tinker (Hyperspec X Multi). The more that her different effects line up, the better that her tech operates. While she can still make tech in only one category, it tends to either be shallower, or hyper-focused.

Emmaline had never had anyone actually love her. Not really. For years and years and years, she was the bane of existence to everyone around her. A failure. A waste of space. No matter what she did, no matter how hard she worked- it was always the same. She was the byproduct of a ruined marriage, just a tool used by her parents to get back at each other. Despite being an only child, she knew that her parents would've been better off without having kids at all. Emma did everything she could to try and stand out, to make something of herself. It never seemed to work. She was always a failure, always unloved, always alone. Even when she eventually found a small group of friends it never felt like it was anything real. She could've ever tell if she was being used or not, just a pawn in some nefarious gang of her betters. Day after day, week after week, year after year- she did what she could. She learned that she could find solace in music, and started to make her own. Even then, no one was ever really impressed. It was just the futile efforts of a sad, sad girl. No one supported her. Not even her friends. Eventually, she just got used to it. She learned to shut up, keep her chin up, and not rely on anyone for something you can do yourself. It all came to a head one day when her Mom was drunk, screaming, violent. She ran away, got a ride over to her Dad's house in the hope that it would be better there. Bad idea. He ripped the headphones out of her ears and broke them,, throwing them to the ground and stomping them underfoot. It was all just silly little games, her silly little coping mechanism. It all came to a head that day. The loneliness, the betrayal, the isolation- and a problem she was never able to solve no matter what she tried. Trigger.

While in the Wards, Rockstar was more focused on her career as a musician than as a Hero. While she does have experience both patrolling and fighting villains, she was often relegated to console duty due to her perceived importance by PRT higher ups. After a close call that's been covered up, she was transferred to Devilfish in an attempt to cool down.

Emmaline had never had anyone actually love her. Not really. For years and years and years, she was the bane of existence to everyone around her. A failure. A waste of space. Despite being an only child, she knew that her parents would've been better off without having kids at all. Emma did everything she could to try and stand out, to make something of herself. She learned that she could find solace in music, and started to make her own. Even then, no one was ever really impressed. It was just the futile efforts of a sad, sad girl. No one supported her. Not even her friends. Eventually, she just got used to it. She learned to shut up, keep her chin up, and not rely on anyone for something you can do yourself. It all came to a head one day when her Mom was drunk, screaming, violent. She ran away, got a ride over to her Dad's house in the hope that it would be better there. Bad idea. He ripped the headphones out of her ears and broke them,, throwing them to the ground and stomping them underfoot. It was all just silly little games, her silly little coping mechanism. It all came to a head that day. The loneliness, the betrayal, the isolation- and a problem she was never able to solve no matter what she tried. Trigger.

While in the Wards, Rockstar was more focused on her career as a musician than as a Hero. Rockstar hails from Los Angeles, California. She's been in the spotlight since her debut as a Ward, always on the front page of some magazine, TV show, or sketchy tabloid site. She has no cape persona, and her public information is full game. Her debut was loud and flashy- an experiment gone wrong due to a tinkertech malfunction. No one was hurt, but the abandoned warehouse she was using as a workshed was shaken down to its foundations and later collapsed. After she joined up with the PRT, she made it her duty to always be in the starlight in some way, shape, or form. Her recent transfer to Devilfish has been under some amount of scrutiny- but the official talking point is to, "Bring life into an otherwise unnoticed Protectorate branch." She sticks by this, regardless of whatever nasty rumors the tabloids drum up.

As Rockstar (which is an incredibly cliche name to release music under) she’s released two full-length albums, a 4 song EP, and a slew of singles and tracks she’s been featured on. Her first album, ''Damage Control'', is a pop-rock look into being a cape and totally PRT pushed. Her second album, ''NewGame+'', is less PRT focused and is a multi-genre rock opera style album that deals with the themes of identity, isolation, being comfortable as yourself- and also has a quirky interlude about really enjoying some salsa late at night. Her first album wasn’t very well received, with many people seeing it as a PRT cash-grab. (True depending on who you asked.) Rockstar is a sound-focused tinker with a slight subdiscipline in Master effects. Through the tech she creates, she's able to both manipulate how sound operates, and also manipulate the emotions of those that hear them. While she can still make tech in only one category, it tends to either be shallower, or hyper-focused.

Emmaline had never had anyone actually love her. Not really. For years and years and years, she was the bane of existence to everyone around her. A failure. A waste of space. No matter what she did, no matter how hard she worked- it was always the same. She was the byproduct of a ruined marriage, just a tool used by her parents to get back at each other. Despite being an only child, she knew that her parents would've been better off without having kids at all. Emma did everything she could to try and stand out, to make something of herself. It never seemed to work. She was always a failure, always unloved, always alone. Even when she eventually found a small group of friends it never felt like it was anything real. She could've ever tell if she was being used or not, just a pawn in some nefarious gang of her betters. Day after day, week after week, year after year- she did what she could. She learned that she could find solace in music, and started to make her own. Even then, no one was ever really impressed. It was just the futile efforts of a sad, sad girl. No one supported her. Not even her friends. Eventually, she just got used to it. She learned to shut up, keep her chin up, and not rely on anyone for something you can do yourself. It all came to a head one day when her Mom was drunk, screaming, violent. She ran away, got a ride over to her Dad's house in the hope that it would be better there. Bad idea. He ripped the headphones out of her ears and broke them,, throwing them to the ground and stomping them underfoot. It was all just silly little games, her silly little coping mechanism. It all came to a head that day. The loneliness, the betrayal, the isolation- and a problem she was never able to solve no matter what she tried. Trigger.

While in the Wards, Rockstar was more focused on her career as a musician than as a Hero. While she does have experience both patrolling and fighting villains, she was often relegated to console duty due to her perceived importance by PRT higher ups. After a close call that's been covered up, she was transferred to Devilfish in an attempt to cool down.

Rockstar hails from Los Angeles, California. She's been in the spotlight since her debut as a Ward, always on the front page of some magazine, TV show, or sketchy tabloid site. She has no cape persona, and her public information is full game. Her debut was loud and flashy- an experiment gone wrong due to a tinkertech malfunction. No one was hurt, but the abandoned warehouse she was using as a workshed was shaken down to its foundations and later collapsed. After she joined up with the PRT, she made it her duty to always be in the starlight in some way, shape, or form. Her recent transfer to Devilfish has been under some amount of scrutiny- but the official talking point is to, "Bring life into an otherwise unnoticed Protectorate branch." She sticks by this, regardless of whatever nasty rumors the tabloids drum up.

As Rockstar (which is an incredibly cliche name to release music under) she’s released two full-length albums, a 4 song EP, and a slew of singles and tracks she’s been featured on. Her first album, ''Damage Control'', is a pop-rock look into being a cape and totally PRT pushed. Her second album, ''NewGame+'', is less PRT focused and is a multi-genre rock opera style album that deals with the themes of identity, isolation, being comfortable as yourself- and also has a quirky interlude about really enjoying some salsa late at night. Her first album wasn’t very well received, with many people seeing it as a PRT cash-grab. (True depending on who you asked.) Her second was more successful, with one of the singles from the album hitting the #8 slot in the Billboard Hot 100.

Rockstar is a sound-focused tinker with a slight subdiscipline in Master effects. Through the tech she creates, she's able to both manipulate how sound operates, and also manipulate the emotions of those that hear them. While she can still make tech in only one category, it tends to either be shallower, or hyper-focused.

Emmaline had never had anyone actually love her. Not really. For years and years and years, she was the bane of existence to everyone around her. A failure. A waste of space. No matter what she did, no matter how hard she worked- it was always the same. She was the byproduct of a ruined marriage, just a tool used by her parents to get back at each other. Despite being an only child, she knew that her parents would've been better off without having kids at all. Emma did everything she could to try and stand out, to make something of herself. It never seemed to work. She was always a failure, always unloved, always alone. Even when she eventually found a small group of friends it never felt like it was anything real. She could've ever tell if she was being used or not, just a pawn in some nefarious gang of her betters. Day after day, week after week, year after year- she did what she could. She learned that she could find solace in music, and started to make her own. Even then, no one was ever really impressed. It was just the futile efforts of a sad, sad girl. No one supported her. Not even her friends. Eventually, she just got used to it. She learned to shut up, keep her chin up, and not rely on anyone for something you can do yourself. It all came to a head one day when her Mom was drunk, screaming, violent. She ran away, got a ride over to her Dad's house in the hope that it would be better there. Bad idea. He ripped the headphones out of her ears and broke them,, throwing them to the ground and stomping them underfoot. It was all just silly little games, her silly little coping mechanism. It all came to a head that day. The loneliness, the betrayal, the isolation- and a problem she was never able to solve no matter what she tried. Trigger.

While in the Wards, Rockstar was more focused on her career as a musician than as a Hero. While she does have experience both patrolling and fighting villains, she was often relegated to console duty due to her perceived importance by PRT higher ups. Not even her friends. Eventually, she just got used to it. She learned to shut up, keep her chin up, and not rely on anyone for something you can do yourself. It all came to a head one day when her Mom was drunk, screaming, violent. She ran away, got a ride over to her Dad's house in the hope that it would be better there. Bad idea. He ripped the headphones out of her ears and broke them,, throwing them to the ground and stomping them underfoot. It was all just silly little games, her silly little coping mechanism. It all came to a head that day. The loneliness, the betrayal, the isolation- and a problem she was never able to solve no matter what she tried. Trigger.

While in the Wards, Rockstar was more focused on her career as a musician than as a Hero. While she does have experience both patrolling and fighting villains, she was often relegated to console duty due to her perceived importance by PRT higher ups. Rockstar hails from Los Angeles, California. She's been in the spotlight since her debut as a Ward, always on the front page of some magazine, TV show, or sketchy tabloid site. She has no cape persona, and her public information is full game. Her debut was loud and flashy- an experiment gone wrong due to a tinkertech malfunction. No one was hurt, but the abandoned warehouse she was using as a workshed was shaken down to its foundations and later collapsed. After she joined up with the PRT, she made it her duty to always be in the starlight in some way, shape, or form. Her recent transfer to Devilfish has been under some amount of scrutiny- but the official talking point is to, "Bring life into an otherwise unnoticed Protectorate branch." She sticks by this, regardless of whatever nasty rumors the tabloids drum up.

As Rockstar (which is an incredibly cliche name to release music under) she’s released two full-length albums, a 4 song EP, and a slew of singles and tracks she’s been featured on. Her first album, ''Damage Control'', is a pop-rock look into being a cape and totally PRT pushed. Her second album, ''NewGame+'', is less PRT focused and is a multi-genre rock opera style album that deals with the themes of identity, isolation, being comfortable as yourself- and also has a quirky interlude about really enjoying some salsa late at night. Emmaline had never had anyone actually love her. Not really. For years and years and years, she was the bane of existence to everyone around her. A failure. A waste of space. No matter what she did, no matter how hard she worked- it was always the same. She was the byproduct of a ruined marriage, just a tool used by her parents to get back at each other. Despite being an only child, she knew that her parents would've been better off without having kids at all. Emma did everything she could to try and stand out, to make something of herself. It never seemed to work. She was always a failure, always unloved, always alone. Even when she eventually found a small group of friends it never felt like it was anything real. She could've ever tell if she was being used or not, just a pawn in some nefarious gang of her betters. Day after day, week after week, year after year- she did what she could. She learned that she could find solace in music, and started to make her own. Even then, no one was ever really impressed. It was just the futile efforts of a sad, sad girl. No one supported her. Not even her friends. Eventually, she just got used to it. She learned to shut up, keep her chin up, and not rely on anyone for something you can do yourself. It all came to a head one day when her Mom was drunk, screaming, violent. She ran away, got a ride over to her Dad's house in the hope that it would be better there. Bad idea. He ripped the headphones out of her ears and broke them,, throwing them to the ground and stomping them underfoot. It was all just silly little games, her silly little coping mechanism. It all came to a head that day. The loneliness, the betrayal, the isolation- and a problem she was never able to solve no matter what she tried. Trigger.

While in the Wards, Rockstar was more focused on her career as a musician than as a Hero. While she does have experience both patrolling and fighting villains, she was often relegated to console duty due to her perceived importance by PRT higher ups. After a close call that's been covered up, she was transferred to Devilfish in an attempt to cool down.

Rockstar hails from Los Angeles, California. She's been in the spotlight since her debut as a Ward, always on the front page of some magazine, TV show, or sketchy tabloid site. She has no cape persona, and her public information is full game. Her debut was loud and flashy- an experiment gone wrong due to a tinkertech malfunction. No one was hurt, but the abandoned warehouse she was using as a workshed was shaken down to its foundations and later collapsed. After she joined up with the PRT, she made it her duty to always be in the starlight in some way, shape, or form. Her recent transfer to Devilfish has been under some amount of scrutiny- but the official talking point is to, "Bring life into an otherwise unnoticed Protectorate branch." She sticks by this, regardless of whatever nasty rumors the tabloids drum up.

As Rockstar (which is an incredibly cliche name to release music under) she’s released two full-length albums, a 4 song EP, and a slew of singles and tracks she’s been featured on. Her first album, ''Damage Control'', is a pop-rock look into being a cape and totally PRT pushed. Her second album, ''NewGame+'', is less PRT focused and is a multi-genre rock opera style album that deals with the themes of identity, isolation, being comfortable as yourself- and also has a quirky interlude about really enjoying some salsa late at night. Her first album wasn’t very well received, with many people seeing it as a PRT cash-grab. (True depending on who you asked.) Her second was more successful, with one of the singles from the album hitting the #8 slot in the Billboard Hot 100.

It never seemed to work. She was always a failure, always unloved, always alone. Even when she eventually found a small group of friends it never felt like it was anything real. She could've ever tell if she was being used or not, just a pawn in some nefarious gang of her betters. Day after day, week after week, year after year- she did what she could. She learned that she could find solace in music, and started to make her own. Even then, no one was ever really impressed. It was just the futile efforts of a sad, sad girl. No one supported her. Not even her friends. Eventually, she just got used to it. She learned to shut up, keep her chin up, and not rely on anyone for something you can do yourself. It all came to a head one day when her Mom was drunk, screaming, violent. She ran away, got a ride over to her Dad's house in the hope that it would be better there. Bad idea. He ripped the headphones out of her ears and broke them,, throwing them to the ground and stomping them underfoot. It was all just silly little games, her silly little coping mechanism. It all came to a head that day. The loneliness, the betrayal, the isolation- and a problem she was never able to solve no matter what she tried. Trigger.

While in the Wards, Rockstar was more focused on her career as a musician than as a Hero. Helios is a somewhat well-known cape originally from Los Angeles, California. He was a Ward for a short time before he turned 18 and moved on to the Protectorate. A majority of his years as a hero were spent in Los Angeles, where he learned the tricks of the trade from several of the heroes there. Eventually after an unknown incident, he was transferred to Ashton, Washington. He spent approximately a year and a half in Ashton. After participating in an Endbringer attack that caused the death of several of his close friends from the Los Angeles days, he took a six month sabbatical and went dark from the public eye. Fairly utilitarian. Santi believes in a Greater Good™, although it’s a vague and nebulous thing that he’s hard-pressed to define using exact words. Despite what he thinks his beliefs are, Santiago doesn’t believe in a Greater Good, but rather the idea of a elite Parahuman class. He will never admit this, as he doesn’t realize it himself. He believes himself to be a hero, and commits to heroic acts. However, this is mainly only due to the fact that being a villain hasn’t crossed his mind. He simply hasn’t thought of it. Even if he did, he’s too far down the rabbit hole of Heroism to back out. Santiago believes not in terms of good or evil, but moreso in vague generalizations revolving around “might makes right,” and how history is written by the victors. As such, he always tries to make sure that he wins.

Helios is a “brute” pyrokinetic. Or at least that’s what he presents himself as. In reality, Helios is able to telekinetically control the ash that he creates within an 18 inch area away from his body. Within a 20 foot range of his body, ash around him with move towards him, stopping if it meets any resistance. While coating himself in ash, he is able to lift 500 pounds in each hand, or 1050 pounds if using both arms. More or less depending on what muscle group he uses. In addition to this, the armor acts as a forcefield- able to withstand damage until the ash on his body is dissipated. The smallest amount of ash that will give him the forcefield and strength is one third of an inch on his body. While he usually creates a suit of armor out of the ash- he doesn’t need it in order to function at this fullest, he merely pretends that he does. Helios can create fire from anywhere on his body, with it reaching temperatures of approximately 1850 degrees Fahrenheit. He can control the fire up to 12 inches away from his body. He can throw fire away from his body, although once it leaves the 12 inch range, it regains all laws of physics and begins to cool and dissipate. He has a fine control of fire and ash while using his telekinesis. His fire causes a larger than normal amount of ash to be created, and this ash is thicker and grittier than normal- resembling volcanic ash. He cannot sense the ash once it leaves his 18 inch range, although he is aware of the ash in this 20 foot range in its relation to himself. He is immune to fire, heat, ash, and things related to that. For example, he can breathe through his ash, and his lungs will not be burned by superheated air. He could stand inside of a raging fire and be completely fine. His skin is immune to any sort of abrasions coming from ash, or any burning material. Etc.

Helios’s secret is that he pretends to need his armor of ash to be a brute, and doesn’t let anyone know the range of his abilities or the control he has over them. He does not tell anyone that he has telekinetic control over ash or fire, instead telling people that the ash simply forms around him on command.

Santi grew up in the city of Los Angeles, born to a white father who moved there for business, and a Latina mother who had lived in the area her entire life. Bachman was awarded a rather comfortable life due to his parents both making fair salaries, and they were a comfortable middle class. While in high school, Santiago was fairly popular due to his drive. He did wrestling and mixed martial arts, occasionally trying his hand at contact sports like rugby. He ran with the “in” crowd, and was frequently out partying. Grades were good enough to get into the college he wanted- and his sports scholarships didn’t hurt his chances either. Santiago was undecided in his major, having no strong feelings towards any specific career path one way or the other. What he did enjoy was the parties. The late nights and bright lights. If there was alcohol involved- he was there. Even better if he could smoke and drink at the same time. One night spiraled rapidly out of control. Two story house out by the beach, some rich kid’s going away party. Drink was flowing endlessly, and the light from cigarettes and blunts could have lit up the night for miles. Santiago partook, of course. Unbeknownst to everyone at the party, a small fire had begun due to a cigarette butt that had been flicked by the side of the house. The fires spread underneath the house, the embers spreading throughout the support beams of the house. The party continued. The heat of the bodies masked the start of the flames, the smell of the parties masked the smoke- and with all the music blasting through speakers, no one could have heard anything. When the first person noticed the flames, it was too late. Unattended bottles of liquor caught fire, spreading the flames to nearby areas. With everyone so intoxicated, the crowd soon turned into a stampede. Unluckily for Santiago, who was at the center of the house at the time, this stampede would be his downfall. With all of the weight of the partygoers on one side of the building, and the foundation weakened, the house began to collapse in on itself. First in inches, then feet, then all at once. Santiago found himself trapped underneath the weight of a house that was rapidly burning like a tinderbox- with no one aware. The ash settled on him and began to burn his skin, the flames getting almost close enough to lick at him. The air burnt his lungs with every breath- and the weight of the rubble on him made sure that every breath was more shallow than the last. His strength wasn’t enough to save him, and there was no one around to hear him scream. Trigger.

He joined the L.A Protectorate soon after. Made it onto the cape scene there for a few years, until transfer paperwork to Ashton, Washington came across his desk. He took them without a fuss.

After several of his friends died in an Endbringer attack, he took a 6 month sabbatical before returning to duty in Devilfish, Minnesota.

While serving as one of the higher-ranked members of the Devilfish Protectorate, Helios was typically busy with a variety of tasks. He received some public backlash after a fight with the villains Duelist and Misfit, when he committed an act of what the public perceived as "Police Brutality" against the villainous Changer known as Misfit. She was apprehended, and later escaped.

Later on, he came face to face with Duelist yet again. This time, she injured his knee enough to put him out of commission for weeks, until he was able to receive healing from a Rogue known as Galen.

Rockstar hails from Los Angeles, California. She's been in the spotlight since her debut as a Ward, always on the front page of some magazine, TV show, or sketchy tabloid site. She has no cape persona, and her public information is full game. Her debut was loud and flashy- an experiment gone wrong due to a tinkertech malfunction. No one was hurt, but the abandoned warehouse she was using as a workshed was shaken down to its foundations and later collapsed. After she joined up with the PRT, she made it her duty to always be in the starlight in some way, shape, or form. Her recent transfer to Devilfish has been under some amount of scrutiny- but the official talking point is to, "Bring life into an otherwise unnoticed Protectorate branch." She sticks by this, regardless of whatever nasty rumors the tabloids drum up.
As Rockstar (which is an incredibly cliche name to release music under) she’s released two full-length albums, a 4 song EP, and a slew of singles and tracks she’s been featured on. Bachman uses his years of wrestling, Brazilian Ju-Jitsu, Boxing, and Muay Thai to his advantage, often using it to subdue capes that won’t go down without a fight. He also has an excellent storytelling voice, and a green thumb that he enjoys cultivating.

Fairly utilitarian. Santi believes in a Greater Good™, although it’s a vague and nebulous thing that he’s hard-pressed to define using exact words. Despite what he thinks his beliefs are, Santiago doesn’t believe in a Greater Good, but rather the idea of a elite Parahuman class. He will never admit this, as he doesn’t realize it himself. He believes himself to be a hero, and commits to heroic acts. However, this is mainly only due to the fact that being a villain hasn’t crossed his mind. He simply hasn’t thought of it. Even if he did, he’s too far down the rabbit hole of Heroism to back out. Santiago believes not in terms of good or evil, but moreso in vague generalizations revolving around “might makes right,” and how history is written by the victors. As such, he always tries to make sure that he wins.

Helios is a “brute” pyrokinetic. Or at least that’s what he presents himself as. In reality, Helios is able to telekinetically control the ash that he creates within an 18 inch area away from his body. Within a 20 foot range of his body, ash around him with move towards him, stopping if it meets any resistance. While coating himself in ash, he is able to lift 500 pounds in each hand, or 1050 pounds if using both arms. More or less depending on what muscle group he uses. In addition to this, the armor acts as a forcefield- able to withstand damage until the ash on his body is dissipated. The smallest amount of ash that will give him the forcefield and strength is one third of an inch on his body. While he usually creates a suit of armor out of the ash- he doesn’t need it in order to function at this fullest, he merely pretends that he does. Helios can create fire from anywhere on his body, with it reaching temperatures of approximately 1850 degrees Fahrenheit. He can control the fire up to 12 inches away from his body. He can throw fire away from his body, although once it leaves the 12 inch range, it regains all laws of physics and begins to cool and dissipate. He has a fine control of fire and ash while using his telekinesis. His fire causes a larger than normal amount of ash to be created, and this ash is thicker and grittier than normal- resembling volcanic ash. He cannot sense the ash once it leaves his 18 inch range, although he is aware of the ash in this 20 foot range in its relation to himself. He is immune to fire, heat, ash, and things related to that. For example, he can breathe through his ash, and his lungs will not be burned by superheated air. He could stand inside of a raging fire and be completely fine. His skin is immune to any sort of abrasions coming from ash, or any burning material. Etc.

Helios’s secret is that he pretends to need his armor of ash to be a brute, and doesn’t let anyone know the range of his abilities or the control he has over them. He does not tell anyone that he has telekinetic control over ash or fire, instead telling people that the ash simply forms around him on command.

Santi grew up in the city of Los Angeles, born to a white father who moved there for business, and a Latina mother who had lived in the area her entire life. Bachman was awarded a rather comfortable life due to his parents both making fair salaries, and they were a comfortable middle class. While in high school, Santiago was fairly popular due to his drive. He did wrestling and mixed martial arts, occasionally trying his hand at contact sports like rugby. He ran with the “in” crowd, and was frequently out partying. Grades were good enough to get into the college he wanted- and his sports scholarships didn’t hurt his chances either. Santiago was undecided in his major, having no strong feelings towards any specific career path one way or the other. What he did enjoy was the parties. The late nights and bright lights. If there was alcohol involved- he was there. Even better if he could smoke and drink at the same time. One night spiraled rapidly out of control. Two story house out by the beach, some rich kid’s going away party. Drink was flowing endlessly, and the light from cigarettes and blunts could have lit up the night for miles. Santiago partook, of course. Unbeknownst to everyone at the party, a small fire had begun due to a cigarette butt that had been flicked by the side of the house. The fires spread underneath the house, the embers spreading throughout the support beams of the house. The party continued. The heat of the bodies masked the start of the flames, the smell of the parties masked the smoke- and with all the music blasting through speakers, no one could have heard anything. When the first person noticed the flames, it was too late. Unattended bottles of liquor caught fire, spreading the flames to nearby areas. With everyone so intoxicated, the crowd soon turned into a stampede. Unluckily for Santiago, who was at the center of the house at the time, this stampede would be his downfall. With all of the weight of the partygoers on one side of the building, and the foundation weakened, the house began to collapse in on itself. First in inches, then feet, then all at once. Santiago found himself trapped underneath the weight of a house that was rapidly burning like a tinderbox- with no one aware. The ash settled on him and began to burn his skin, the flames getting almost close enough to lick at him. The air burnt his lungs with every breath- and the weight of the rubble on him made sure that every breath was more shallow than the last. His strength wasn’t enough to save him, and there was no one around to hear him scream. Trigger.

He joined the L.A Protectorate soon after. Made it onto the cape scene there for a few years, until transfer paperwork to Ashton, Washington came across his desk. He took them without a fuss.

After several of his friends died in an Endbringer attack, he took a 6 month sabbatical before returning to duty in Devilfish, Minnesota.

After participating in an Endbringer attack that caused the death of several of his close friends from the Los Angeles days, he took a six month sabbatical and went dark from the public eye. Seeking a change and a chance to go somewhere different, he was transferred to Devilfish, Minnesota where he currently resides.

Santiago is about 6 feet tall, and remarkably fit. He maintains a rather plain haircut, as well as keeping himself clean-shaven. He has brown eyes, and tanned skin. His cape costume obscures any details about him, and he does his best not to get into any trouble while in his civilian guise.

Bachman uses his years of wrestling, Brazilian Ju-Jitsu, Boxing, and Muay Thai to his advantage, often using it to subdue capes that won’t go down without a fight. He also has an excellent storytelling voice, and a green thumb that he enjoys cultivating.

=== Mentality ===

Fairly utilitarian. Santi believes in a Greater Good™, although it’s a vague and nebulous thing that he’s hard-pressed to define using exact words. Despite what he thinks his beliefs are, Santiago doesn’t believe in a Greater Good, but rather the idea of a elite Parahuman class. He will never admit this, as he doesn’t realize it himself. He believes himself to be a hero, and commits to heroic acts. However, this is mainly only due to the fact that being a villain hasn’t crossed his mind. He simply hasn’t thought of it. Even if he did, he’s too far down the rabbit hole of Heroism to back out. Santiago believes not in terms of good or evil, but moreso in vague generalizations revolving around “might makes right,” and how history is written by the victors. As such, he always tries to make sure that he wins.

=== Power ===

Helios is a “brute” pyrokinetic. Or at least that’s what he presents himself as. In reality, Helios is able to telekinetically control the ash that he creates within an 18 inch area away from his body. Within a 20 foot range of his body, ash around him with move towards him, stopping if it meets any resistance. While coating himself in ash, he is able to lift 500 pounds in each hand, or 1050 pounds if using both arms. More or less depending on what muscle group he uses. In addition to this, the armor acts as a forcefield- able to withstand damage until the ash on his body is dissipated. The smallest amount of ash that will give him the forcefield and strength is one third of an inch on his body. While he usually creates a suit of armor out of the ash- he doesn’t need it in order to function at this fullest, he merely pretends that he does. Helios can create fire from anywhere on his body, with it reaching temperatures of approximately 1850 degrees Fahrenheit. He can control the fire up to 12 inches away from his body. He can throw fire away from his body, although once it leaves the 12 inch range, it regains all laws of physics and begins to cool and dissipate. He has a fine control of fire and ash while using his telekinesis. His fire causes a larger than normal amount of ash to be created, and this ash is thicker and grittier than normal- resembling volcanic ash. He cannot sense the ash once it leaves his 18 inch range, although he is aware of the ash in this 20 foot range in its relation to himself. He is immune to fire, heat, ash, and things related to that. For example, he can breathe through his ash, and his lungs will not be burned by superheated air. He could stand inside of a raging fire and be completely fine. His skin is immune to any sort of abrasions coming from ash, or any burning material. Etc.

Helios’s secret is that he pretends to need his armor of ash to be a brute, and doesn’t let anyone know the range of his abilities or the control he has over them. He does not tell anyone that he has telekinetic control over ash or fire, instead telling people that the ash simply forms around him on command.

=== Backstory ===

Santi grew up in the city of Los Angeles, born to a white father who moved there for business, and a Latina mother who had lived in the area her entire life. Bachman was awarded a rather comfortable life due to his parents both making fair salaries, and they were a comfortable middle class. While in high school, Santiago was fairly popular due to his drive. He did wrestling and mixed martial arts, occasionally trying his hand at contact sports like rugby. He ran with the “in” crowd, and was frequently out partying. Grades were good enough to get into the college he wanted- and his sports scholarships didn’t hurt his chances either. Santiago was undecided in his major, having no strong feelings towards any specific career path one way or the other. What he did enjoy was the parties. The late nights and bright lights. If there was alcohol involved- he was there. Even better if he could smoke and drink at the same time. One night spiraled rapidly out of control. Two story house out by the beach, some rich kid’s going away party. Drink was flowing endlessly, and the light from cigarettes and blunts could have lit up the night for miles. Santiago partook, of course. Unbeknownst to everyone at the party, a small fire had begun due to a cigarette butt that had been flicked by the side of the house. The fires spread underneath the house, the embers spreading throughout the support beams of the house. The party continued. The heat of the bodies masked the start of the flames, the smell of the parties masked the smoke- and with all the music blasting through speakers, no one could have heard anything. When the first person noticed the flames, it was too late. Unattended bottles of liquor caught fire, spreading the flames to nearby areas. With everyone so intoxicated, the crowd soon turned into a stampede. Unluckily for Santiago, who was at the center of the house at the time, this stampede would be his downfall. With all of the weight of the partygoers on one side of the building, and the foundation weakened, the house began to collapse in on itself. First in inches, then feet, then all at once. Santiago found himself trapped underneath the weight of a house that was rapidly burning like a tinderbox- with no one aware. The ash settled on him and began to burn his skin, the flames getting almost close enough to lick at him. The air burnt his lungs with every breath- and the weight of the rubble on him made sure that every breath was more shallow than the last. His strength wasn’t enough to save him, and there was no one around to hear him scream. Trigger.

He joined the L.A Protectorate soon after. Made it onto the cape scene there for a few years, until transfer paperwork to Ashton, Washington came across his desk. He took them without a fuss.

After several of his friends died in an Endbringer attack, he took a 6 month sabbatical before returning to duty in Devilfish, Minnesota.

 Ultraviolet Knight is a moderately well known cape from Saint Paul, Minnesota. He’s been bounced around several cities, before ultimately finding his way to Devilfish. He’s known for his sense of humor, generally well-regarded tactics, and his obnoxiously loud on the eyes costume. His villainous antics typically revolve around holding people “hostage” in a park, minor art theft, pulling practical jokes in a way that isn’t mean-spirited, and generally being a nuisance. To counteract this, he regularly does charity events or crashes birthdays or retirements.

Out of costume, Cameron is a fairly normal looking guy. He’s about 5’11, standing with lurching shoulders and an odd gait to him- as if he’s not entirely sure how his body is supposed to work. Shaggy brown hair cut in a way often described as, ‘sheepish,’ with unassuming hazel eyes. He’s particularly shy, and goes out of his way to make himself invisible. Never seen without his camera.

In costume it’s a lot different. Ultraviolet Knight stands tall and proud, armor plating hiding the person that’s underneath and bulking him up to look like the peak of physical prowess. He stands tall and proud, chin up and shoulders back. Ready to face the world. His costume is garishly and obnoxiously eye-catching, covered in gold and purple scales that reflect light around him constantly and make him hard to look at when standing in direct light. His helmet completely hides his face, an odd thing that looks reminiscent of an old diving helmet, with strange buttons and protrusions on the side and back. Topping it all off is a black and purple cape. Perfect for any hero or villain to pose on cue.

Stun baton, zip-ties, radio, pepperspray, flip phone, extendable baton, three hidden knives (one in the boot, two on either arm), and a small pepperball pistol.

A car, a small apartment, various cape connections from the Saint Paul area, a decent salary from his YouTube channel where he posts videos about costume design, stage presence, and motivational talks about confidence- all in costume. He’s quite YouTube famous.

Motivational speaking, stage presence. Able to make his cape always billow on demand somehow. Intermediate marksmanship, low intermediate hand to hand skills. Oration. Generally is a likeable enough person, like someone who laughs with you and not at you.

=== Mentality ===
Nathan is generally shy and prefers to stay out of the limelight. He prefers to observe rather than to partake in what he sees around him- often taking pictures of people having conversations or the general scenery around him. Often described as, “mellow,” by those around him, he’s content to just relax and let the world move around him. He regularly listens to a “chill vibes” playlist while he’s editing photos.

Ultraviolet Knight, on the other hand, is completely different. Loud, brash, snarky, and sarcastic. Immediately the center of attention when he walks into the scene- his costume seemingly designed for this purpose. He plays well with others, but still likes to make sure he gets his ample turn in the limelight. He never takes pictures, rather preferring pictures to be taken of himself. If there’s a meeting, he wants to be on the board. If there’s a camera, he’s in front of it. If there’s a picture, he’s in it. After all, the loudest voice is the one that’s heard- and he can be pretty loud when he needs to be.

'''Fractal Embolism:''' When his power is activated, Ultraviolet Knight generates up to 9 floating orbs of light around him. The orbs generate a deep, dark, mysterious blue light. He can turn the effect of the generation on or off, or increase or decrease the strength of it. At a maximum, one of the orbs of light generates enough light to fill a space around it with 15 feet of light. He can move these orbs around him to a range of 50 feet, at a speed of 45MPH. It takes 5 seconds for the orbs to reach max speed traveling at the fastest. The orbs of light may or may not have mass depending on if Ultraviolet Knight wants them to. At maximum mass, they weight 50LBS. At minimum, the weight of light.

The light is not meant to be viewed by human eyes. It is a somber, dark, fugue-like deep-ocean blue. Upon viewing the light, blood vessels in the head and eyes crimp and occasionally burst- causing mild headaches and occasional subconjunctival hemorrhaging. (IE: Burst blood vessels in the eyes.) Exposure to the light causes mood swings, which Ultraviolet Knight has control over. He does not control the reactions someone would have under the effects of the light, however. Once someone is exposed to the light, Ultraviolet Knight can force them to experience:

• Ecstatic and Blissful Mania

• Powerful Crushing Apathy

• Somber Depression

The effect begins to set in as soon as one looks at the light, or the light touches their body. It lasts 20 minutes after removal from the light, and as long as there is prolonged exposure to it. Once the effect wears off, there is no lasting effect other than a fuzziness of memory of the time of exposure, and a small inclination to like Ultraviolet Knight more than you already do. However, this effect stacks over time. The inclination to like him is small enough to not notice, only repeat exposures only having any sort of noticeable effect. He is not aware of this.

=== Backstory ===
 Moore isn’t exactly from the most stable household. Both of his parents were in and out of different psychiatric care units, and Nathan had to learn to care for himself at a young age. More often than not, he stayed with his maternal grandparents. They understood the plight he was going through. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the end of of his dealings with violent and aggressive mental illness. He had been in high school when he met Bryan. He seemed like a good guy, if at odd points sometimes. Thinking nothing of it, Nathan became closer and closer friends with him. It wasn’t until he was about to graduate that he learned more about Bryan. Namely, that was a bipolar schizophrenic, and that his parents were promptly kicking him out of the house upon graduation. Doing all that he could to help and finding himself lacking, they eventually grew apart. Graduation came and Nathan found himself applying to colleges, and getting accepted to the somehow-still-functioning University of Minnesota. The city was rebuilding, and he felt it would be useful to assist in any way he could. Years later, he’d nearly forgotten about Bryan until one day, he was out late walking through the subterranean tunnels that made up most of the reconstructed Twin Cities. It was Bryan. Scarred, homeless, and talking to himself. Nathan looked, Bryan looked back. It wasn’t until Bryan started to charge at him that Nathan realized his old friend had no idea who he was, and seemed to be absolutely intent on murdering him. Trigger.
